Emergency & Acute Care Services
Adult Central Intake & Mobile Crisis Response Team
Our experienced mental health professionals provide on-the-spot intervention to help manage the crisis at hand. This service provides on-site screening evaluations at hospitals, community settings and homes to help direct troubled individuals to the best treatment alternative. We also operate a facility where assessments and evaluations can take place 24 hours a day.

Adult Short-Term Residential Treatment
Our locked, 30-bed inpatient program is geared toward quickly stabilizing acutely distressed individuals and avoiding hospitalization in a state mental facility. The program encourages goal setting, stress management and reality orientation. Treatment components include medication management and family counseling. Upon discharge, individuals are directed to care in a less restrictive environment.

Adult Residential Treatment Program
This 17-bed, locked inpatient program is for people with persistent and severe mental illness. They receive medication training and participate daily in group and individual counseling sessions. Couple and family counseling are also part of the program, which is designed to prevent the need for future crisis stabilization and/or longer-term state facility hospitalization.

Children's Crisis Stabilization Unit
Our separate, locked, 14-bed residential program for children ages 5 to 17 serves those who are experiencing acute psychiatric emergencies. We provide 24-hour assessment services, medication management, and individual, family and activities therapies. Educational services are provided for grades K-12.

Intensive Outpatient Treatment
Florida Assertive Community Treatment (FACT)
This program is an intensive, comprehensive and long-term community-based service for people with severe and persistent mental illness. The FACT team, utilizing a 24-hour-a-day, seven-day-a-week interdisciplinary team approach, delivers treatment, rehabilitation, and support services to individuals in their homes, at work, and in other community settings.
Intensive Day Treatment Program for Children
Our program offers partial hospitalization services to help children make the transition from locked inpatient units to the community. A six-week parent support and education course is offered several times each year to help parents develop skills needed to manage their children's behavioral and emotional problems.

Intensive Case Management
Also known as the Assertive Community Treatment Team, this program is designed for individuals with serious and persistent mental illness who have not responded well to traditional mental health services. Severely & Emotionally Disturbed (SED) Out-Reach Treatment & Consultation
Designed to serve severely disturbed teenagers and children, this program supplies intense mental health therapy to students in SED programs in Hillsborough County schools. Treatment is offered at 48 campuses throughout the district, providing individual, group, and family therapy, along with case management, parent education, and psychiatric services.

End Violence Early (EVE) Program
This voluntary program addresses the needs of juveniles (ages 10-15) who have been arrested on domestic violence charges. Children and their families receive a number of clinical services, including crisis intervention, intensive case management, individual and family counseling, parenting workshops and psychiatric consultation. The goal is to prevent additional domestic violence within the family. EVE services usually last six months. Program staff work closely with law enforcement, juvenile justice diversionary programs and the juvenile's school.

Empowering Victims of Abuse
This program provides specialized treatment for abused and/or traumatized children. Intensive outpatient, individual and family therapies focus on building empowerment skills for children who are at risk for further abuse, school drop-out, depression or psychiatric hospitalization. Children involved in the legal system or are at risk of becoming involved in the legal system are also candidates for the program.

Collaborative Network Services for Substance Abuse & Treatment for Children & Adolescents
Here, case managers identify and coordinate services for children and adolescents with the dual diagnosis of mental illness and substance abuse. Through early intervention, children can often avoid restrictive residential treatment programs and remain in their homes.

Family Services Planning Team (FSPT)
This multi-agency, multi-purpose team of child care specialists helps parents secure the least restrictive, most appropriate services so children can remain in their homes. In-home, intensive behavioral health services are offered to children and their families. The program uses a combination of case management, outpatient counseling, home-based and community-based rehabilitative services and psychiatric services.

Family and School Support Team (FASST2)
This non-traditional program uses family support coordinators and para-professional family advocates to assist children and their families. Case management services include in-home counseling, behavior management and therapeutic mentoring, as needed. Baby FASST Program
This group of early intervention programs helps children and families build stronger relationships with themselves and their communities. Family Network Team

Children First Response team (CFRT)
This intensive clinical program provides skilled staff to assist the Child Protective Investigators in assessing allegations of child abuse and neglect. This program, as part of Hillsborough County's conversion of the child welfare system to Community Based Care, works with families in crisis, where a report of abuse or neglect has been made.

Juvenile Sexual Offender Program (JSO)
The JSO Program serves youth ages 12 to 18 years of age who have demonstrated sexual behavior problems. Referrals are received from the Department of Juvenile Justice, Department of Children and Families and the Hillsborough County Court System.

Kinship Care
Family relatives who are caring for children may receive case management and supportive services through the Kinship Program. Working in Plant City and the surrounding East Hillsborough area, this program serves children and kinship families by linking them up to available resources as well as assisting them in connecting with others in a similar situation.

Transitional Living Community

Supported Independent Living
Special apartment communities enable people with severe and persistent mental illness to live independently with minimal support. A staff person, trained in mental health, is on-site to schedule educational and social events and contact residents' case managers or social workers when necessary. Community Forensic Program
This program is for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness who have been charged with or convicted of a crime. The program monitors and tracks individuals through the criminal justice system, facilitates access to mental health treatment and provides alternatives to jail and institutionalization. Supported Employment
Individuals with mental illness are assisted with job placement in a competitive environment. The program involves work skills training, job development, coaching and long-term support. The Shop: Drop-In Services for the Homeless
